Let’s get straight to the point; the food here is absolutely incredible. Honestly some of the best food I’ve ever had. And for a very reasonable price too. On average, a 3-course meal & cocktail here will cost you 50-55. Given the quality of the food, I think that’s actually a really good price, and cheaper than most other city restaurants that I visit these days. Plus, there’s no service charge! A rare commodity in this day and age. It’s a nice venue too — if I’m being harsh, my only criticism would be that the service was a tiny bit slow and a little inattentive. Could have been a bit friendlier/chattier. Still, undoubtedly a 5 star restaurant that I will definitely be returning to.

Was treated to a meal here a the Forge. From the moment we walked in we were treated very, very well. The staff were lovely. Chose from the menu but they have fridges where you can personally select a steak or other treats. The meal was prepared with a short wait. When it came it was very well presented and tasted delicious. The atmosphere was lovely. Not too busy or noisy. There is a good selection of drinks to go with your meal or a bar lounge area to enjoy a post meal drink. Woukd definitely recommend this place. And look forward to going back soon.

Amazing food, really well cooked and presented and lots of interesting choices and twists on original dishes. Staff were also brilliant and the kitchen is open to the seating area so you can get a feel for what's going on! Totally recommend.

Sunday Roast at The Forge, food took a little while to come out, but when it came was easily one of the best roasts we have had in Chester. I had steak - which was served with roast sides. The dirty mash served with bacon jam is incredibly tasty, make sure you give this a go. The roast alone was 21, which is fair given the quality.

Really good food, accommodating for vegan and gluten free diets. If you want a fine dining experience in Chester, this is the place to come. All the staff were extremely friendly and attentive to our needs.
